39C. Period of validity of Medical Fitness Assessment and Licences – The period of validity of medical fitness assessment and licence in respect of various categories of licences shall be as specified in the following table, namely:-

Commercial Pilot’s Licence (aeroplanes or helicopters), Student Flight Navigator’s Licence, Flight Navigator’s Licence, Flight Radio Telephone Operator’s Licence, Student Pilot’s Licence (aeroplanes or helicopters or gliders or balloons or microlight aircraft), Student Flight Engineer’s Licence and Flight Engineer’s Licence

Twelve months from the date of medical examination

Five years

(iii)

Private Pilot’s Licence (aeroplanes or helicopters) Pilot’s Licence (gliders, balloons and microlight aircraft) and Flight Radio Telephone Operator’s Licence (Restricted)

Twenty-four months from the date of medical examination

Ten years

Note:-         The period of validity of medical fitness in respect of the licences specified against (ii) and (iii) shall be reduced to half after the holder of the licence has attained the age of forty years.
