49A. Issue of Type Certificate to an aircraft, aircraft component and items of equipment imported in India- (1) The Director-General may direct by general or special order that there shall be a type certificate in respect of any aircraft, aircraft component or item or equipment imported in India.

(2) The Director-General may issue a Type Certificate in respect of any aircraft, aircraft component or item of equipment imported in India.
