During investigation of an accident, it was revealed that the modifications carried out on an aircraft by an operator were not intimated to the aircraft manufacturer. Timely notification of all aircraft modifications to the manufacturer has numerous advantages. One of the important advantages is that helps the operator in getting updated operating/maintenance manual.

All the operators are advised to evolve and implement a flool-proof and timely system to ensure that any modification carried out on their aircraft is duly intimated to the manufacturer.
