Subject : Injudicious and imprudent transmissions during operation.

  During the investigation of an accident to an airline aircraft, it was observed that the commander of an aircraft while in flight encouraged commander of another aircraft to make an approach in weather below minima conditions. The Tower Controller had, however, cautioned the approaching aircraft about poor visibility conditions at the airport. In another incident, a commander during flight gave some suggestions to the Air Traffic Controller regarding handling of traffic which induced an error in the control of the air traffic by the ATCO. It led to an overshoot by the aircraft resulting in conflicting traffic situation.

In order to avoid such occurrence, the operators should ensure that their flight crew members avoid such injudicious and imprudent transmissions during aircraft operations. Accordingly, Operators should necessary instructions to their flight crew in this regard.
